I’ve had the opportunity to stay at The Dunlin in Johns Island right outside of Charleston several times now and it is one of my favorites. It’s perfect for a girls trip, a solo reset, or a full wedding weekend!
The interiors were designed by Amanda Lindroth and no detail was left untouched. From the moment you pull onto the property you feel like you’ve landed in a Lowcountry oasis. The color palette is soft and warm, the coffee shop is the cutest little spot to start your morning, and the bar upstairs is super chic. They also have the best staff!
The rooms carry that same energy. Southern charm in the best way, from the room keys to the cutest little wicker dog (named Dunby), every detail was thought out. They are super cozy and also extremely aesthetically pleasing…a perfect combination in my opinion!
The food is also so good and very much worth mentioning. Their signature restaurant Linnette’s is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the menu is so rooted in where you are. It’s elevated but still feels like comfort food, which is exactly what you want after a day by the pool. And speaking of the pool, The Cove is gorgeous…riverfront, cabanas, the whole thing!
For my wedding couples, this one is at the top of my East Coast list right now. You can do an entire wedding weekend on property, which I love. Guests check in to the most charming Lowcountry setting, then hop on branded shuttles over to the event spaces where they will find multiple options both indoor and outdoor for most any size celebration. The golden hour marsh light alone is worth it for photos.
We will definitely be back, and we are hoping to plan a wedding here very soon!
